I didn't try to keep anything beyond the one wearing. it was so hard to get anything, find the chance to wear it, and then dispose of it and keep working, there weren't many times available. Folks kept suggesting that I marry again. I didn't see how I could. I kept thinking how I did have to make other provisions for the children. But surely any woman would expect a manly man which I didn't wish to be again. So I finally de- cided to just not do anything or make any plans. Just wait and see and not run from something if it should come my way. In the meantime, I could finish off those two back rooms. I went to the lumber yard and got the lumber and plaster board.
